Suzie and Ian Shapiro Barn Wedding 26th May 2018
A big thank you to the Scottish Wedding Directory and Kristin at Struve Photography for publishing the following article in the Autumn Edition of the magazine, featuring Mr and Mrs Shapiro's rustic barn wedding here at Carrick Castle Estate in May 2018. Ian and Suzie were the first couple to use the barn as their wedding venue and the couple did all the planning and decor themselves, to great effect. The couple opted to use a selection of their own and our recommended suppliers, including Janie at the Woodland Florist and Sue at En-Croute Catering. The day was a relaxed intimate affair, the rustic theme carried through from the hay bale ceremony on the lawn overlooking Loch Goil, to the wooden trestle tables topped with green foliage including moss and ferns for the wedding breakfast. Estate machinery including the Hagglunds and a small blue tractor were used as decor and doubled up as entertainment for children and adults alike. The day was a memorable one, not just for the happy couple who pledged their love, but for the whole team at Carrick Castle Estate - we can't wait for the next one!
